Sisterhood of the effortless pants

 Quick- what do Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Aniston, Renee Zellweger, and Madonna have in common?
Well ask most women their opinion of any of the above and you'll hear words like beautiful, stylish, stunning, fashion icons, etc.
Ask a man, correction- a straight man, and you'll probably hear vastly different answers.
You don't need John Gray to tell you men and women can think differently about beauty.
Women see SJP's style, her gorgeous eyes, her long curls, and we adore her look. Jennifer and Renee exude fitness and classic style, and Madonna is ever the fashion trendsetter.
Let's face it, women dress for other women. If we were to dress how men would want then we might all be walking around like Coco:

I mean this dress just looks painful.

Back in my twenties I too thought the tighter the jeans, the lower the neckline, the shorter the hem, was what sexy was all about. But with age, hopefully, comes some style maturity.

You learn to wear the clothes, not have the clothes wear you. You learn that wearing an outfit that you can move freely in is so much more attractive than hobbling along in 6 inch stilettos with skintight jeans. You learn that when you're constantly sucking your tummy in because the dress is so tight and you no longer feel your feet because the shoes are so high, that maybe this is too much of a price to pay to look sexy for some man. 

And you realize that wearing more can be so much more beautiful than wearing less.

And this brings us to my new favorite pair of pants.
